News about Goonies 2

Not gonna happen. Martha Plimpton says (I witnessed this in person), Sean Astin has been the producer behind it and has been trying to get it made for years, but WB won't greenlight it and no one (including herself) will come back...not even Corey Feldman. Sorry Goonies fans.

I agree. I see no possible way for them to capture anything about the original with a sequel. You can't really use the old actors for the same purpose anymore, and new kids would be even cheesier. It would've been great if they would've made it, say, 15 years ago.

I would want to see it. I was digging on the fact that they wanted to use all of the original actors; I think it could have been something like 'Goonies meets Clerks 2'. Have them deal with groowing older but yet longing for the 'Goon-Docks'.

PS. Data was the coolest character.
