Would you totally ruin your teams chances of winning the World Cup, just because some Italian dude called you a "Son of a terrorist whore"? In that situation, I believe I'd let you call my wife a whore. Now, after the game, that's another story, but on the field retaliating like that and blowing your last chance to win the World Cup??? You sir, are an idiot.
I liked Jay Leno's line, "That's the closest a Frenchman in uniform has come to combat in 60 years." hehehe

an average American futbal fan just finishes
watching Italy defeat France. Since he has
successfully consumed several adult beverages,
he decides to make a random long distance call
to an average French citizen.
AAFF: (dials phone)
AFC: "we"
AAFF: do you speak English
AFC: "yees"
AAFF: I was just calling after seeing the results
of the futball final,... did you watch it...
AFC: (sadly) "yess"

i dont care "Zidane" still won the MVP award he still a world class player! i would have done the same! plus in this world cup they stress no more racial hatred at the games including players and the one who help start the movment was the french player "Henry" so thats why FIFA is taking a closer look at what happened! beside look at the italian team most of the player are being looked into by italian gov. for cheating in the club match! and they knew if they picked on Zidane he would snap cuz of what Henry is going through! but that was a badas$ head butte!

zidane is one tough dude and the italian player should be lucky that brutal headbutt was to the chest and not the face....
zidane is still one of the worlds best players...lapse in judment may have cost his team the cup but it doesnt seem that france minds much they still applauded him. i guess he has a thing about honor.

Do a google video search of the Italian player he headbutted, Materazzi. That asshat deserved it.
Next time, Italy and Portugal should bring real soccer players and not the diving teams. C. Ronaldo should win an Oscar.
