Do you really need a message board full of older men to tell you that you are pretty? Are you sure you're really down on yourself or are you just looking for attention?

I think this is slightly pathetic. Don't fish or ask for compliments. You don't need them. You should be strong enough to know that you're at least not repulsive.

I think you are pretty cute and shouldn't be needing to do this.

Hmmm...Although Jilly certainly does sound quite harsh in her reply...to a certain extent I agree.

I personally think youre attractive Jes, however, although it may give you a temporary high, me and anyone saying that on here isnt really gonna change how you feel about yourself.

The key is to attempt (I completely understand that this is easier said than done) to not look to others to gauge your own attractiveness...because doing so leave you dependant on others...you should strive for self fortification, build yourself...so you dont need anyone else to tell you if youre good looking or not...youll know it. And in doing that by no mean to mean being stuck on yourself, instead I mean raise your level of confidence in yourself, and know YOUR OWN VALUE.

...Sorry for going all "after-school special" on here...just felt that needed to be said.

I couldn't agree more with this concept. The truth of the matter is, though, that most people draw their self image from how they see other people react or interact with them. Of course, this isn't a good thing, but if 90% of the people you come in contact with say that you're a mutant with the ability to burst into flames and fly, then I'll be you jump off a roof to try!

Okay, maybe that was a bad example, but for some reason I have comic books on the brain.

I think the internet is a poor way to present how you may really look.
It's so easy to angle the camera in such a way that makes you look 10000 times better than you really do. I'm a prime example of it.
But really, take like..10 different pictures of yourself.
Take the worst one.
That's probably what you look like in real life.
The internet is so misleading.
But, judging from your pictures..you do resemble Ricci. And you're beautiful in a unique way. But as for what people may tell you who know you in person, it's more reliable.

I have terrible grammar.

I have nothing to really say at all. But maybe i am overly insecure because i am sensitive middle child. but i am not blaming it on that... but i dont want anyone saying "oh you looking for an excuse". i am taking every comment into consideration and i guess thank you for your comments. i really dont know...i would love to explain why i did this but it will taking a long time to explain. and i dont got all day.

Let me say this, and hopefully not have it taken in the wrong way. True beauty is on the inside. I know that sounds cliche or whatever, but the fact is that it's true. And no, I'm not saying you're ugly on the outside. The fact is, that I've known girls who looked like supermodels that I found hideous, because they were such jerks, and acted so stuck up with everyone around them that they killed any physical beauty they had. Conversely, I've met some girls who were not extraordinary, just normal. But they had such beautiful personalities that I thought they were incredible.

Guys: Girls never look as beautiful as they do at this age (17-25 ish). If you want to find a real keeper, look for one who's personality far exceeds physical beauty.

Girls: If you want a guy worth keeping around, you need to find one that cares more about the inward appearance for the outward. A guy who only cares about the physical appearance is going to drop you as soon as "something better" comes along. One who focuses on personality is more likely to stick with you through thick and thin. And let's be honest, most girls deep down are really looking for a guy worth marrying, not a one night stand. So take the time and find a quality guy.
"We are all the same people with sinning hearts that make us equal. Here's my hand not words said desperately, it's not our job to MAKE anyone believe."

Looks schmooks, man! Yeah, everyone wants to be pretty or handsome (not). Remember this, though. It's all relative. We set the definition of what is and is not attractive. Outside of the primal, natural attraction issues that are genetically encoded to perpetuate our species. I mean there are some things that are innately unattractive because it does not bode well for the survival of humankind, but damn. Does it really matter? Be happy. Do what you want. You don't NEED an extra person to share that with eternally. Humans can exist just as well in solitude as they can otherwise. We're inclined to group together because, once again, it's safer for the continuation of our existence, but it's not required.

I make NO sense right now because I'm rambling. I guess my point is a big whopping:
