Down The Line thoughts

Post by flapjacks »

I saw a few fwm people there. I was stuck behind Anderson, Fleek and occasionly Julie for the show. Everyone played extremly well. My only complaint was that the T-hoppers rocked up the first few Bobby D songs a lil' too much for my taste. It was a nice end for the Trainhoppers if you ask me.

My personal favorite preformance was Orange Opera, although everyone played extremly, extremly well.

This was hands down the greatest local show I've ever been too, worth every penny of that $10 ticket.

from what I hear, the number of attendees were about 1,570 or 1,750 (it turns out I have a problem with grammar along with dyslexia)

Matt Kelley is a truly amzing man.

If you weren't there you should have been.

I'm not promoting a comical myspace music page, so I think it's ok if I post this.

I may go all Tweedy someday and resurrect the name with some or none of the current members, we'll see. I've got a lot of blood and guts into it, so it sucks to throw that away.

"Creative differences" — turns out, they're not a cliche. Stakes is high, and got raised higher with my desire for the next album to be Exile good, and things that were kinda broke in the band became really broke. To push the boulder up the mountain that I want to push up the mountain, you have to have six guys with a common vision and mutual respect. It's nobody's fault, it's everybody's fault."

I honestly see a new lineup & name change but we'll see a lot of the old members doing something together soon.

best local show ive ever seen. It would be cool to do a show like that a few times a year... the attendence was great and im sure ppl would continue comming. I don't usually like the rolling stones, and wasn't looking forward to 600 North doing them... but they impressed me more than any otehr band there. I didn't know the first guy, but he did johnny cash pretty well... Orange Opera was great. I had heard a lot of hype about them and they met those expectations and some. DG... it was DG. what else is tehre to say? Put on a great show like usual. Trainhoppers really showed why everyone loves them and really displayed their abilities.

The best part was the 15-20 minute version of knockin on heaven's door. If you weren't there... ask about it, it was really cool.

(also sitting behind anderson with flapjacks)

Wish I was there. Had a house full of screaming 8 year old girls. All right, get your mind out of the gutter! My daughter had a slumber party. My wife wouldn't let me leave... shuddering just thinking about it.

Officially we are on a long hiatus. I'd prefer to call it, if we're gonna call it, but working on the Down the Line set healed some wounds and maybe, by taking a break to work out the creative ideas that didn't work within the band, we'll be able to come back to it with some focus.

Anyway, thanks to those who made it out to DtL, it was a magic night for us.

And congrats to LLC on the Whammy wins, nobody deserves it more and I was quite gleeful when they kept calling out your name.
