The Fort Wayne Philharmonic has announced the headliners for an innovative Pops doubleheader Oct. 3 and 4.

The doubleheader was conceived to attract distinct audiences with unique acts on consecutive nights.

Pop musician Ben Folds will perform with the orchestra at 8 p.m. Oct. 3, and jazz pianist Michael Feinstein will perform with the orchestra at 8 p.m. Oct. 4.

Feinstein should appeal to traditional Pops patrons and Folds to a younger crowd.

Individual tickets start at $20, and Pops series subscriptions run from $48 to $336. Subscriptions to the Sweetwater Pops Series go on sale April 9, and individual tickets go on sale Aug. 18. For more info, call 456-2224.
