I saw a band called Waking Abbott. I was beyond impressed. Holy forking sh*t. Seriously. It takes a lot for me to say, DAMN! These guys were really good and despite the retro-Doorsy kind of style, I still dug the hell out of them.

They played with Modern Day Gentlemen, who weren't my bag of chips, but did contemporary punk funk really well. Great at what they do, just what they do isn't for me.

Pleasing Melani was also there. . .but I left before they hit the stage. No Al, no Garr. You know how it is.

I went to high school and used to jam a little bit with the lead singer of Waking Abbot, he is very good. I need to get out and see them very soon.

That's cool, man. I was glad to get out last night. It doesn't happen often. Anyhow, I hope those guys start promoting here. I would love to see them active on the boards. They need to push!
