rezin: You know anything about PHO coding? You know anything about the software on this site? 'figure it out' is a pretty bold statement...

The calendar is NOT the same software as the forums, and is not so simple to work with.

The calendar and the site are both provided FREE of charge for the local music scene. The least we can ask is that people utilize that which brings traffic and makes the site worthwhile...

I have enough stuff to do..why can't YOU add them? I have to approve them..that can sometimes take enough time. Why should I spend anymore time promoting shows when I provide the entire site as it is??

I am not arguing the point...I just wish there was a level of respect....many show it, others don't...

The calendar actually used to get more than DOUBLE the traffic of the boards...

It is not that way anymore since the server rebuild and reinstall of things, but I would like to get it to that level again.

It may benefit you here, but it will benefit OTHERS if it is also posted on the calendar.

Remember a large number of people have been driven away from the boards because of certain users...I know for a fact that a number of them used the calendar to see what was going on.

It might be possible to have data from the calendar posted HERE automatically...as well we are going to be putting the 'mini calendar' on the front page...possibly embedding it on here as well...

Just use the frickin' thing...it benefits the site and gives reason to the sites existance...

i like this way.

i've only used the calendar once before to find a show-- one i didn't hear anything about beforehand, and it was like a week in advance, so it's got that as an advantage.. this was about 4 years ago too because i was a freshman in high school when i went to that show.

Over 2 weeks ago I submitted a posting for the calender regarding the American Cancer Society Benefit Show for Nov. 11, 2006 at the New Haven Eagles....still haven't seen it posted. If that is the case..why use the calender at all. It's not reaching the public. Is this another "Oops..Hang in there " ???
