This is being held at the same place as the Avett Bros, Trainhoppers, etc. gigs, right?

Also, 5pm? Is that the correct time? Their MySpace says 8pm.

Thirdly, if you're even a slight fan of Phish, I suggest you check this out. These guys are damn good at what they do, if you like that sort of thing.

See ya there.

www.whatzup.com says 5pm

www.phixband.com says 7pm

www.myspace.com/phixband says 8pm

And I think I've figured out that this is taking place @ the beer tent across from CSW as part of the "block party" ?

I don't know who wrote up the Whatzup article.. but I thought the article was really bad. I thought it made some very steriotypical remarks reguarding Wookies, if I were a casual reader of Whatzup and read that article.. it would not make me wanna go see the band.

Is that article online? Or just in the issue itself?

most likely just in the article... it was one of the picks and only about 2 paragraphs long.. probably not even 100 words.

Does ANYONE know who I can contact to find out the exact start time of this??

if it's in the beer tent across from CSW.. call Zambucas
if it's put on by CSW.. call Richard at CSW
or whatzup

I don't mean to complicate matters with more speculation, because I have NO IDEA if what I'm about to type is true or not, but this is what I have heard:

It's a stage on the Landing like the old school DID/Block Party after-work events, sponsored by CSW, and catered like those events were.

Again, I could be completely wrong. But I'm 90% sure it's not in Zambuca's tent or inside CSW.

I'm betting they (whoever is in charge) can expect pretty much no turnout for this. Whoever was in charge of advertising totally dropped the ball. Unless you're a fan of Phish, chances are you are going to be completely turned off by the music. People who ARE fans of Phish probably have no clue this gig is even taking place (and most of them probably don't even know what day of the week it is, but that's beside the point).

And if this starts @ 5pm, someone needs smacked.

Two different people told whatzup that it was set to start at 5 p.m.

And I wrote the stupid Pick. Sorry, Ando.

For the record, I do think Phish is a really good band and that Phix will probably put on a pretty cool show.

Actually, I'm not sorry, but I'm also not salty with you for calling something I wrote "stupid." If ya wanna talk more about the "politics" of press, print, etc., I'll see ya on Saturday. In the meantime, keep talking about the Phix show because I think it's gonna be pretty cool ... but you already know I feel that way, because I said it in the Pick:)
