THE REV IS COMING… BACK HOME AGAIN IN INDIANA - AUGUST 23rd

The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, Nationally touring rural blues cult heroes from rural Indiana will be returning home to the Hoosier state for a one night homecoming show at the Vogue Theatre in the heart of Broad Ripple. Not only will this be the biggest show of the summer, but it will also be the PRE-RELEASE of the new EP "The Gospel Album." This album features material penned by The Rev. himself, as well as a collection of country blues spiritual songs that inspire and true to Big Damn Band form, cook with pork fat. Hoosiers will be treated to first "dibs" on "The Gospel Album," because it will not officially be released until September 12 th. The album is packaged in a limited edition tin, and all of the songs were recorded in the heart of Bloomington, IN under the supervision of recording genius Paul Mahern.

All of those attending the show can plan on hearing classic Big Damn Band songs, tunes from "The Gospel Album," as well as unreleased songs from the next full length Big Damn Band album "The Whole Fam Damnily" coming soon from Family Owned Records! Opening for the Big Damn Band will be Indiana's Murder by Death. Murder by Death layers the vocal sounds of an old saloon with haunting strings and the hard driving rhythms of pure rock n' roll, producing what Stuff magazine has called "lush, orchestrated songs," somehow simultaneously reminiscent of Johnny Cash and Radiohead. Prior to Murder by Death the night will be kicked off with a rare acoustic set from Creepin' Charley and the Boneyard Orchestra.
