This may or may not apply, but I just heard about this product this morning, ad it's perfect for a singer/songwriter doing sketches or demos so I'm passing it on. It's a direct-to-USB large diaphragm condenser mic with a secondary audio input and a headphone out BUILT INTO THE MIC: a vocal mic, a tw...

I don't thinkThat "loudness and amplitude" rap really pertains here. Sounded horrible AND you had to crank the playback to 11 to hear it? That's beyond psychoacoustics: sounds like you had an impedance matching problem, using the wrong kind of interface to et the signal into your computer. You can't...

I do think that the Digitech has more features (memory card expansion, PC synch, blah blah), I just always think you get better audio out of a BOSS, that's all.

Good luck!

Check this out, Jen. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-RC20XL-Loop-Station?sku=151352 The Digitech JamMan is a similar deal, but I think BOSS pedals sound better than Digitechs. Want five bills worth of complete insane loop control with which to blow their little minds? The BOSS RC-50 will...

a friend of mine put it best for me once. KISS is a great pop rock n roll band, but a horrible metal band. ... ' He would have been more accurate to say that KISS was a great marketing construct, but a horrible band, regardless of genre. Any possible 2008 enjoyment of KISS can't be anything more th...

Because "some KISS" sucks.

The only thing worse than "some KISS" is "a lot of KISS."

That's "Bob," Living Slack Master, Saint of Sales.

Make that -2 or 3. No city needs a KISS tribute show. You remember that Radiohead video for "Just," where the guy lies down on the sidewalk and draws a crowd and everyone demands to know why, but he says he won't tell because they would all give up and lay down, too, and they still beg to know, so t...

... there is something to be said about that vintage mojo.... I agree. You can jump on that Korg/Univox for cheap. But in your group, I'll bet you'd find an arpeggiator and pitch and mod wheels to be a cool tools. EDITED TO SAY: 5 days left in that auction and it's already almost $300. For a beat-u...

I think what you mean to say is that the artificial, watered-down, Lucky Charms version of St Patrick's Day ("Kiss me, I'm a drunk leprechaun with a shamrock on my begorrah!") mysteriously celebrated by American Protestants is what "doesn't exclude people," and can somehow "be loved by all creeds, r...

The MicroKorg is a synth that creates digital models of analog synths, the closest you're likely to come unless you want either: 1) to spend a pantload of bucks on a vintage analog synth 2) to own a trashed-out POS vintage analog synth that won't stay in tune. Trust me: I was in rock bands when synt...
