I just visited the Jam Crib the other day, it's not what I expected...meaning that the place wasn't just a space to play as many people have offered in the past. Instead, it was built with acoustics in mind and different sized rooms to accommodate large and small groups.

Gone is on Music if you want to give it a listen. And yep, every life lesson can be learned from a Madonna song. I know that sounds cheesy, but I think it's really true.

I'm on a Madonna kick again...Gone has been on repeat for a while now (literally and metaphorically). This is as "emo" as I get. Madonna - Gone Selling out Is not my thing Walk away I won't be broken again I'm not I'm not what you think Dream away your life Someone else's dream Nothing equals nothin...

As a not so glorious part of my job, I invoice mobile device bills. Since Cingular merged with AT&T, they gobble up the market and have the best coverage, BUT Sprint typically has much cheaper rates. As a disclaimer, those observations are just what I've gathered from a couple hundred bills I handle...

holy insight, batman. I wonder if Batman and Robin were religious or not. I'm not savvy on my comic trivia. Thank you for the comments; I've gathered you have mad skills in the butt shaking department. I'd look ridiculous if I tried. Hats off to Marie, the carefree woman with a huge heart! Y...

You should come out to gigs and introduce yourself. Many of us do and I have met many cool people this way. I'm not sure what kind of local shows you go to, but I'll probably venture out to most of the Battle of the Bands nights this year. And I enjoy talking to well seasoned  locals, so perh...

Oh boy, I'm not very good at taking compliments...but it really means a lot that I got a positive response to this post. Thank you. I wrote this a few weeks ago and was wary of posting it because it's pretty heavy. I thought I might get the "she's playing the victim" response which is actually quite...

I feel bipolar...I keep going back and forth between:

Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See

and

Funker Vogt - Survivor

In general, I've been on a composer kick lately. -Can't seem to get enough of Shostakovich, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, etc.

Okay, I am listening to this right now and it is really f*ckin' good. Here's the funny thing, this lady and her husband come in and she keeps holding her ear and goin' "Oh Lordy, Lordy." Mind you I have the music at a reasonable volume most of the time unless I want to annoy the neighboring store (...
