Friday - Trainhoppers w/ Conley w/ Taj Maholics etc. etc....
I have to say, it's refreshing to see the festival committee giving local music a shot on a major night during the Three Rivers Festival. Here's the lineup for Friday, July 14th: 2:15 - 3:15......Chris Dodds 3:45 - 4:45......Moser Woods 6:00 - 6:45......Possum Trot Orchestra 7:00 - 7:45......The Mim...

sharkmansix wrote I like to think of it as anti-unprofessional musician. There are so many bands in the city that think they are the best think since sliced bread; but in reality they are just 4 guys who can put together a song. Why should a venue put money down for unproven talent? If anything they...

Quote: I would say the venue's responsibility is almost none. Maybe some 'shout outs' about upcoming gig over the PA but that's about it. That is such cow poopie, Jay. I can't believe you would even say that. If you're a cook in a restaraunt, are you also responsible for all the PR for your employe...

Don't get me wrong, I like Roger Clemens. I just don't understand why we are so quick to accuse Bonds & so few others. Clemens has probably put on 40lbs since his rookie year....sorry, he's a lot "thicker"than he was during his earlier years - just like Bonds. His head looks bigger, just like Giambi...

"The_Dude Posted: Clemens didn't disappear! He was the most dominant pitcher in the majors last year. He's 42. He'll be playing again in about 3-4 weeks. He's just making sure he's got enough gas to make it thru the playoffs." That's my point. He was the most dominant pitcher in the game last year ...

I tend to take the stance that it is, & has been, a pretty equal playing field from the standpoint that if you're going to assume that Bonds took steroids, you have to also assume that other players, including pitchers, took them as well. The media almost acts like Bonds was the only one who cheated...
