How is it we've come all this way in the thread, and no one has mentioned a single midget wrestler?

Warning, unsolicited rant about wrestlings "good old days" coming up . . . . There used to be just as many great tag teams as great individual wrestlers. Back in my youth, I remember Demolition being unstoppable. You also had The Hart Foundation, The British Bulldogs, The Rockers, The Stiener Brothe...

And yes, early Sting was awesome, the only reason he didn't make my top 5 was his emo/goth/crow thing. It just ended up tainting my entire impression of him. Did he gain 200 pounds or what? It really sucked all of the energy out of his character.

Just checked out Mama Dragon's link, I never knew that Curt Hennig, Davey Boy Smith, and Crash Holly died. This saddens me, I loved Hennig. He almost made my list. He was like the "perfect" heel (pun intended). Everybody hated Hennig when he was on. It was great.

1. Ahmed Johnson 2. Mick Foley (except when he was Dude Love) 3. Kevin Nash 4. Hogan 5. Ric Flair I've got an autographed pic of myself sitting on Flair's knee when I was about 6 or 7. The wrestlers came to my hometown, and my uncle was a volunteer fireman who helped set up the ring. My cousin and I...

SOTW - bad news. Beatnik's closed a couple months ago. I used to live in Marion and it was an outstanding venue. I actually played their grand opening a few years back. We were the first band there and one of the last. Good news is, a new venue, similar in mission will be opening in its place in the...

Thanks guys, this has really been informative. We've played a few shows around town, but are always looking for more, and I found the gig getting advice to be particularly helpful. What do you think of open-mic nights? We've used them repeatedly and have done some great networking through them. Also...
