I think those are FANTASTIC. Damn, Dagwood, I feel like an ass for never seeing the Rewinders before.

Howdy yall!

Hope to see some of you out there. Looks like we might get lucky with the weather.

Dag, haven't been around these parts in awhile, I see you have started making criticisms without an alias, I like that.

Anyway, the rough itinerary:
TH 7:15 - 7:55
MTVRI 8:10 - 9
IRA 9:15 - 10:45

After an early disappointment with Discmakers (about five years ago), I recently returned to them and have had a great experience -- locally doing all of the Minton/Possum projects with them, Conley, Trainhoppers, etc. We did Sturm and Go Dog Go with a company called Furnace, who are tremendous and ...

The young up and coming talent can take lessons from Ty Causey. When you can work the Blue Note in New York and get called back for a repeat performance PLUS have a tune in the top 50 in Europe says a lot for a "local" musician. This is what it's all about. Ty, great performance..just wish you'd ge...

It was a nice end for the Trainhoppers if you ask me. Are they done? Officially we are on a long hiatus. I'd prefer to call it, if we're gonna call it, but working on the Down the Line set healed some wounds and maybe, by taking a break to work out the creative ideas that didn't work within the ban...

Lovin' the JamCrib

I'm in a band called The Trainhoppers and late late last year we started practicing at the JamCrib. I can't tell you how much I love it. The comfort, convenience and amenities are awesome, and the fact that you have to pay a (unreasonably small) fee adds accountability to everyone in the band -- you...

Thank you to Jon Gillespie. And to Phil Potts, it's my favorite guitar solo on any song I've ever been involved with.

WILCO in FORT WAYNE?

Some folks are starting a grassroots movement to get Wilco to perform at the Embassy next spring. Check it out at:

Spread the word!

I truly believe this will happen.

It's ALL ego, absolutely. But my point is this -- if Mike Conley is playing Billy Joel songs at Hall's Gas House, he should get paid for it. If Zach Smith is dressing in a dolphin outfit and doing an all-original in-store at at the Jiffy Lube on Crescent, he should not be so worried about it. I love...

When I was in a cover band, I wanted to get paid. We were providing background music for people to drink alcohol to, and to try to figure out what color underwear each other are wearing. When I wasn't in a cover band, it didn't matter so much. We were sharing our art and frankly I'm flattered anyone...

Stage Banter's a-changin'

Hey all Scheduling conflicts have forced (allowed?) us to revisit our DIY roots with our little online radio show and it's all the better for it, even if it does now take us about 9 hours to come up with a 60-minute show. Anyway, we've got some exciting guests and topics planned in the near future, ...
