#2 - Born Again

Born again: Not a religious call by any means…unless FWM is your religion! ;) OK…so we know the birth of the site and the RE-birth of the site (will and Zach)…but now…the rest of the story. Quick summary: I started the site, let the site die, Will and Zach approach me to bring the site back, they get it back to all its glory and then one day I get a call from Will saying they are moving on to other projects and would no longer be doing anything with the site. WTF?!?!? No notice, not announcement, just ‘goodbye’…ok…so I don’t want to take it personal, but a little notification so that WE could prepare for this change would have been nice. In my previous memory called ‘Gatherings’ I made mention of setting up a meeting for anyone that was interested in helping out to show up and discuss our option. I can’t say who all was there, but the list brings to mind, Anderson, Fleek, Brandon, Matt, Matt, Melton, Myself, Jen, Dean and others…the list goes on. (Sorry if I missed anyone…just PM me and I will amend in the post on the forums…) This impromptu meeting actually DID turn out to be more organized than I let on. Notes were taken, rolls were assigned, duties were volunteered. I immediately set out granting access and getting everyone what they needed to do their part in the site. Content was mostly Matt and Brandon…graphics and some of the code was left to Anderson and Melton…Promotions was Jen and a few others that are not longer around…Fleek was and will always be the designated drinker for the site…and myself…server/access/promotion and anything else that I could lend a hand in. These meetings occurred every few weeks or monthly and started to progress the site to where it is today. The people that showed up that very first day, especially the ones that are still here to this day, have meant more to the site and its success than sometimes portrayed in public bickering and discontent. ;) That rebirth was the foundation and spark that this site needed to get to the point it is right now and with what you will be seeing tomorrow and in every year after.
