Talk about anything specifically related to local music. Local CD's, websites, local, local, local!

It looks like we may be headed for multiple DeVitos with this one.

(funny how that works, isn't it)

anyway, here is the link to the fliar, its in Bluffton indiana, but its still pretty sweet.

Am I the only one that was completely lost on this post? No offense, but how old are you? I had to read that three times before I could follow your grammar or interpret wtf you were saying....and I'm still not really sure.
I was surprised that in this ENTIRE run-on paragraph there was not one mention of musicality, professionalism, or dedication to your craft. Less even was an answer to why the 'scene sucked'.

It was all about your cool toys and bitchin' light show.

Style over substance 'eh?

Rage Against The Machine cover band huh?

Good luck taking over the world with that one. Fort Wayne evidently cannot grasp your greatness (and originality).

It's probably not too different anywhere else. We live in a fragmented, and ironically at the same time closed-minded society. It's like everybody wants 'retro' to 15 minutes ago or something. Also, at bars, however you advertise yourself, you get who you get through the door.

if you create something magnificent, then you love it...but you suddenly lose control of it...should you hate it, or love it even more? for it has accomplished more than you thought it could

My point wasn’t to actually argue over the scene. My point was to spike everyone’s interest with a negative title and a stupid starting entry. After everyone read it, they would all have something to say. So now everyone is completely, well not completely. But, everyone is now interested in the topic and willing to read the general list of replies. Now, i have used everyone's thoughts to enrich my own. I have a better understanding of the scene from everyone elses standpoint.

If you would like me to make a comment on the scene i will.

I don’t like it. But i don’t really have a choice but to live with it. So I’m not the one complaining, you guys are. I just gave you a reason to do it.

The musicians are amazing, i see so many drummers with talent and fluidic response to music. I see MANY guitarist and bassist who can actually play and i meet a lot of cool people. Unfortunately, something’s just don’t work even if they have the right equipment. But, you do what you can with what you are given.

Yet no one ever covers the BEST RATM song ever, "Darkness" off of The Crow Soundtrack.

Someone cover that, and I'll be doing my circus seal imitation.
There are 10 types of people in the world.

Those who understand binary. . .

. . .and those who don't.

Sorry man, I don't want to be a d*ck but there was some sarcasm in my post. I would rather you invite me out to watch some of your original music. Nothing personal. :D
