Gone is on Music if you want to give it a listen. And yep, every life lesson can be learned from a Madonna song. I know that sounds cheesy, but I think it's really true.
"If there's a child on the south side of Chicago who can't read, that matters to me, even if it's not my child. If there's a senior citizen somewhere who can't pay for her prescription and has to choose between medicine and the rent, that makes my life poorer, even if it's not my grandmother. If there's an Arab American family being rounded up without benefit of an attorney or due process, that threatens my civil liberties."

Damn good album.
"My friend says he wants to die. He's in a band, they sound like Pearl Jam, the clothes are all black and the music is crap."

Bill Laswell - Dark Massive Ambient Compendium

Premise one played one of his newer LPs last night at the Mojo Dub/Premise one super group show, so I had to dig out some of his older stuff.

Needless to say Mr. Laswell is a genius.

Funny thing, Zach, I was just listening to that today too... I was even considering a song off of it for the "soundtrack to your life" post

The epitome of soul-less and money grubbing. My almost perfect example of selling your soul for rock 'n roll, literally.
