Saves the Day - "Sound the Alarm"
ZACH! how is this disc? I am afraid to purchase it. I loved "Stay what you are", but I pitched "in Reverie" out the friggin' window about an hour after I purchased it. I really want to love this one. I heard the first single, and I think it is OK.
Here's the skinny, you know how on "In Reverie" it seemed as though his vocals were really subdued, almost as if some feeble producer told him to "tone it down a little"? Well, he's back to belting it out and the band is rocking! I'd say it is an album that you could place in between "Through Being Cool" (an album so influential it ruined other emo/punk bands for years to come) and "Stay What You Are" (an album more mature than than most members of the band). Its better than "In Reverie", although I must say, while I didn't like "In Reverie" for about a year, I went back and listened to it this past autumn and there are a lot of really good songs on it. "Sound the Alarm" is a very hard chargin', sloppy (in a good way) album, with Chris back in top vocal form.

Hahaha! ...Man before they officially went out he'd re-affirmed his support of the under-underground scene or C-Horizon as he called it...I was amped like "Yeah...Imma have a chance to be heard"...2 months later HHI was gone...what a disappointment!
