If WhatzUp offered advertising in the same price range as $20 for a stack of a thousand flyers, then maybe bands would do that instead. However, I have not seen a 4.25 by 5.5 ad anywhere close to that price for 1 run. Bands are poor. They have to use creative guerrilla tactics to get the juice out there.

And flyer bombing the hell out of the venue. . .I remember those. You made those kick ass giant posters which we put on the front door. Those were some awesome days. We promoted the hell out of those shows, but no one showed up.

Okay, we promoted those shows, but few people showed up. I think our largest crowd was maybe 30 or 40 people. The last two shows, I couldn't even be there because I had to work. Thankfully, there were awesome staffers to pick up the slack.
