Sure, if you don't mind spending half your time tuning and the rest of the time playing out of tune.
For cheap, I like the Korgs. Here's one that works real well for $20.

Yup, I have that exact model...I think I grabbed it at the music shop north of Georgetown Square, right on Maplecrest. Is that Conser Music, maybe?

Yep, that's Conser Music. If they have it, that'd be a swell place to buy it (non-GC).
If not, well... they've got 'em at GC.

Hey, I've got one of those sitting around on the table. I'll let you have it for 10 bucks.

I use a Peterson Strobostomp, on my pedalboard, and never use the Korg anymore. Also got a Sabine rack tuner I'll give up cheap. Its accurate, but a bit slow. Plus, there's a gray version of that Korg, that's less flexible but I've always found it to be quicker that the black model.

I love the Boss TU-2, but that's $100. Best pedal tuner available though and as a bonus you can power a bunch of other pedals from it.

I second the TU-2. Best pedal I EVER invested in. I know I should rely more on my ears but onstage with crowd noise between songs or house music it's really hard for me to hear sometimes (at least accurately). That in turn makes me a bit nervous which throws any good performance out the window. The ability to see the leds on a dark stage while the singer was blabbing to the crowd between songs and having it cut out the signal while I was tuning with the kick of a foot made everything so much easier and made me feel much more relaxed and focused on just playing.
Also, Boss pedals are built like friggin tanks.
