They put on a good show. I caught them at the Indy Jazz fest a couple years ago. There were a lot of casual jazz fans there, and the look on some of their faces when these guys tore into their set was priceless.

Their stuff is definitely an aquired taste, but if you like your jazz ferocious and nasty, these guys are a band to watch.

If you dig The Bad Plus, check out Happy Apple. They have the same drummer-Dave King. When I was living in the Twin Cities(where they are from) I got a chance to check them out several times.

Love The Bad Plus. Wish I could make this show! The cover songs alone are worth the price of admission, and their originals are a blast.

What a great band! Love their stuff! Dave King is my new favorite drummer. He's like JoJo Mayer and Keith Moon rolled into one.
