got the idea from the mixtape topic....this might be a little easier for some folks....can you list/rank/whatever your 10 or so favorite albums?

I can, but it'll probably change tomorrow. I'd be really interested to see what people like, so make a list! please! I need it.

i've been obsessing over a few i left off. i've got a pavement cd that a friend made when we saw them and it is one of my top 25, but i don't even know the names of the songs. type o negative, the cure, elvis costello, patti smith, the beach boys, primus, thelonius monk, modest mouse, kmfdm, willie nelson, i think i'm obsessing again.

everyone used to like pavement...not anymore, so its always good to see someone into them! if you ever wanna talk pavement, i'm you man.

i saw them in chicago in like 99 or 00 and thought they were okay, but since then i have listened to this mixed cd religously. like i said though, i don't even know the names of the songs, but my favorite goes......"what about the voice of getty lee, how did it get so high, i wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy, i know him and he does" and the one that i think is called "rangelife".

It was their best. I was listening to it this weekend. It sounds sooo good and so emotionally draining. What I think is special about the disc is that there is a bunch of mistakes on the album, and it doesn't matter. The fact that "Where did you sleep last night" is out of Kurt's vocal range....doesn't matter at all. It still sounds great.
