I fell asleep due to extreme boredom about 45 minutes into the movie.

Seann William Scott is a horrible actor, IMO.

Billy Bob Thornton's character (Mr. Woodcock) was the highlight of the film, but that's still not saying too much, really. I wasn't impressed at all with the movie. (C- rating)

It looked like it had funny parts...but a lot of times those end up being about the only ones in the movie...I haven't seen it yet, but I am sure in a couple years when it is playing on TNT or TBS, I'll check it out:)

I sorta agree with you but I would flip the descriptions of the actors around, Seann William Scott is great, while Billy Bob sucks, he always plays the same boring character.

Sean William Scott is called upon to play one character and that is all. Audiences identify with him as Stifler and he is cast as such. I've no idea if he has acting talent, but as someone offered a lot of money to do the same job over and over again, I can't blame him.

There are plenty of actors who are basically the same person in each role.

Having said all this, I've no idea why anybody would want to see what struck me (from the trailers) as an utterly unenjoyable steaming pile of crap.

In my opinion, BBT is a very talented actor, able to portray many different characters and he's willing to accept various jobs to prove it.

Bad Santa
Mr Woodcock
Bad News Bears.
School for scoundrels

He played an angry bitter old man in all of these.

I haven't seen all of his films but I bet there are only a few where he doesn't play this character.

So, I deleted my original post because it was a bit hostile. I don't like Billy Bob. You asked for evidence I gave it to you, and there you have it. Enjoy.

Yeah, I'd have to agree, while BBT isn't one of my favorite actors, nor someone as dynamic as say, Kevin Spacey, Johnny Depp or Tom Hanks, its a bit far-fetched to say he sucks. I haven't seen too many of his movies, only about 5 or 6 listed above, but he wasn't playing the same role each time...

I can't blame him, either, but to say he's a "great" and BBT sucks is just blasphemous.

As you can see from the quoted post below, I asked for nothing other than why you felt Billy Bob "always plays the same boring character." That's all.
