Naw, I think I will just move out of this communist City.
Cool.

Lowered housing costs for those of us left.....and more gigs for non-smokers.

Win-win.

Cmon folks....it's a dead horse. The deed is done.

At least talk about supporting the bar owners amendment, and voting out the bozos that voted for the ban. You'll never overturn the basic law.
That I agree wholeheartedly with. The bar owners amendment = if you're over 21 in an environment wholly populated by other people over 21, then make your own damn decisions, no matter how harmful to your own body - and 2nd hand smoke health issues is a smokescreen and completely unsupported by scientific research.

As I understood it, these places were exempt:

Private residences, except when used as a licensed child- care, adult-care or health-care facility

Hotel and motel rooms that have been designated as smoking rooms. No more than 20 percent of rooms may be designated

Retail tobacco stores

Private clubs, such as American Legion or other organizations where you have to be a member

Establishments, such as bars, where admission is prohibited to anyone under the age of 21

Bowling alleys between the hours of 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday through Thursday
My email on this page be wrong, its moss_ryder@msn.com.

I believe those were the guidelines for the initial county wide ban, not the eventual city ban

You're seriously going to avoid bars that let people smoke?

It's called choice. If you don't like smoke, don't go to bars where there is smoking. I don't see how that's a problem.

Yes, I'm actually surprised by this response. I don't smoke, I worked very hard to quit years ago. I choose now to avoid bars that allow smoking, I find it gross and annoying. I enjoy not smelling like smoke, my eyes not burning, and my throat not burning. If you want to frequent these bars be my guest, but I'm going to make the choice to not go, as well as many other people I know. In fact I live roughly a mile from Dupont Bar and Grill, but will never set foot in it.

Wow...imagine that...the freedom of choice.

Kudos for not being a cryasser.

I would pay to have tobacco smoke to be blown into my lungs 24/7. what would be my unit of currency? Well, roughly MY LIFE!

But yea a lot of people like to smoke when they drink. LOTS OF PEOPLE. And the Fort Wayne Chamber is not going to change that. They can only piss us off because now we have to go outside and it's cold now!
