Well, this is StG from Bludspyre and just a thought bubble floated into my mind. Would there be anyone here interested in starting up an Alice In Chains cover band????

The name would be "Alison Chains" and covers would range from "Rain When I Die" to "Angry Chair" to "Would?" to "Nutshell"

It would possibly need
1 lead guitarist
1 rythm guitarist (w/ backing vox)
1 bassist
1 drummer

::Setlist::
Would?
Man In The Box
No Excuses
Heaven Beside You
Rooster
Them Bones
Angry Chair
Rain When I Die
Down In A Hole
Nutshell
Love, Hate, Love
Bleed The Freak
and many others...................

any takers.....?

I would so LOVE to do this. . .but I don't like the name and I'm not a good enough guitarist.

Damn!!!

This would be a great project.

in all reality, I'm just seeing who would be interested, but this would be ONLY a side project for when my band goes into the rehearsal stage before tours/big shows, and this would be a side project that would be for monetary profit. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE AIC, but in this town people seem to love covers. So I haven't seen an AIC cover band yet here so I decided to give it a shot.

Any band name sugg., Garr?

Well, a lot of tribute bands (or bands that just do covers from one band) go with the name of a popular song from that band. The Kiss tribute band is called Strutter, the Pearl Jam tribute band is called Evenflow, the Sublime tribute band is called Badfish.

I, personally, would go with Angry Chair. That's a great band name, if you asked me. Unfortunately, Godsmack is already taken. . .or I would have suggested that. :)

sounds interesting...I'd be up to giving it a shot, see how it's received. I'm a drummer & I've played AIC in cover bands.

Going with song names for the band name, No Excuses is good, but almost certainly has been used before; Rooster would work, and so would Them Bones. I do kinda like the 'Alison Chains', but that might be too close to the original to get away with it.

I love AiC. I would be down with it. I am 37. I have good equipment. I played in the local band Beneath the Surface for about 3 - 4 years. Let me know if you get it going.

Alice in Chains is my favorite band. I'm a drummer out of Fort wayne. I've got a full kit with a rack, I'm 21 years old. I pretty much know all the songs on your set list. if you're down to jam with me let me know. -Steve-

The ideal thing in chosing a rhythm and lead guitarist would be to have everyone meet up and jam it out.

Anyone interested in Monday night at 6pm at the JamCrib?
PM me if you are interested and let me know what position
