need BASS for Weekly House Band - Full Time

The Martin's All-Stars are in need of an IMMEDIATE bass player to join their weekly houseband gig. The show is every Thursday night at Martin's Tavern in Garrett, IN. 3 Sets, usually between 10:30pm and 2:30am. Backup vocals are a plus, but not needed.

Weekly pay, free drinks, great sound system. We're looking for someone who can start now (minimal to no band rehearsal...learn the stuff on your own, show up to play). Set list is all covers of your normal barband songs - classic rock to modern stuff you hear on the radio that make the patrons happy.

Aside from the weekly Thursday show, there are scattered weekend shows and special events. We played the 4th of July show at the Garrett park, and also have the annual Magnum Opus show on August 26. In addition, the band's 2year anniversary is September 28, and people have been voting on which album the band will play from front to back (votes have recently been narrowed to 4 top choices: The Doors self titled, Sublime self titled, The Wall, and Dark Side of the Moon).

Must have your own gear. Must have the time on Thursday nights. Also is a good idea to have a backup player for the eventual night you can't make in advance. We're all easy to play with, so long as you know the basic notes and arrangements. Ages of the band members are 29 to 35.

I like the laurels particularly.

I'll do it as long as the next MAS logo, for year threeeeeeeee!, resembles a Stroh's logo.

Thanks for the plug. It is a pretty sweet gig.

Josh got a job offer he couldn't refuse, and is relocating to Cleveland, OH.

Looks like we've got bass for the 10th and 17th. As of now, we're doing it audition-style, w/ a different player each night. The club wants to keep the options open, so if you're interested let us know.
