Willis will be a 4th or 5th starter and pinch hit. The entire Marlin's payroll is less than Pudge's salary now - and he bats 9th for the Tigers, who aren't one of the highest payroll teams. Ridiculous - I'm not complaining though.

That's one hell of a 4th or 5th starter. You also can't expect The Gambler (KR) to hold the 3rd spot in the rotation. Willis is capable of being the #2 starter, actually, behind Verlander.
I'd go...
Verlander
Willis
Bonderman
Rogers
Robertson

My guess is
Verlander
Bonderman
Rogers
Willis
Robertson
Damn, that's a helluva rotation! Might be the best in the AL - unless Boston lands Santana, then all bets are off.

Regardless...3 Lefties and 2 Righties for your 5 man rotation is a good thing. Especially when 2 of those are studs.

That is one hell of a rotation, and your lineups is pretty good too. It'll have to be, that division is probably the toughest in baseball. The Indians are always good anymore, the Twins have mastered the Moneyball game, and the Sox are just two years removed from being the best team in the MLB. It'll make the race awful interesting.
Good luck Detroit with that Wild Card spot you'll get after Chi-Town takes the division.

I think they are trying to put together a package for Santana...

The Tigers? Won't happen. There's no way in hell Minnesota deals him to a team within their division.

I'd be shocked too, but they have the pieces to make a very tempting offer.
