Only the ND victory. He didn't play against Penn State or Northwestern. I'd be surprised if the NCAA did that. They caught it right away and self-reported it right away. I'm getting a little tired of Fort Wayne athletes being academically ineligible to play as freshmen though! The kids bear some responsibility obviously, but so do mom (and dad??), and the Athletic Departments at some of the schools are simply not doing their jobs! They know by the time a kid is a Freshman or Sophomore that they're a D-1 talent and they need to make sure the kid is going to be eligible or at least that they do their part to push him to be eligible. The list of ineligible to play or forced to go the JuCO route kids is a lot longer than the eligible for D-1 as freshmen list.

A game that you got beat by 30 plus points in and the player in question played little role in the outcome in. Yes, congratulations.

Feels good to get some momentum going. Now we've just gotta find ineligible players on every other team we'll play this year. I'm looking out for 13-0!

no forfeitures per the Big Ten. They self reported as soon as they discovered the error, so no further punishment. I believe Chambers will be eligible right away next year too. Don't know if they can redshirt him for this year or not. For his sake, I hope so. It'd suck to lose a year of eligibility to what amounts as a clerical error.
