Great article by Bill Simmons.

I thought it especially poignant that the response to the initial story of a nameless referee fixing games was "which one?"... Not "Are you serious?" or "No Way!"

The NBA is the most poorly officiated professional sport of all the biggies. Horribly inconsistent, star treatment, now this to top it all off. And this guy worked the infamous game 3 of the Suns-Spurs series in the playoffs this year, in which Amare Stoudamire played all of 21 minutes due to some really questionable early foul calls against him.

Discuss....

Curse you IT department! Webfilters keep me from viewing 'sports' pages. I love the Sports Guy.

I was just thinking about that....

Stern is on TV right now (or was) and did a masterful job of boring the world to death by talking in a monotone voice for 20+ minutes. Every network drifted off as quickly as they could in order to keep viewership.

The NBA was in trouble the day Michael Jordan retired.
