if you were fired for disciplinary reasons, they'll deny your unemployment. You can go look up where it's all going - I think I even posted the link once.

Why don't you just move to Amsterdam? They seem to have everything you want.

No I worked in a machine shop running CNCs, machining automotive parts. I sent one bad part, Chrysler rejected it, and their policy was to let me go. I'll get unemployment for sure. I've worked there full-time for 2 years so I think I'm good.

you should be fine then. they have access to a lot of good jobs through the unemployment office too - stuff that's not posted anywhere else. take advantage of that so you don't take advantage of the system.

If you were smart you would adjust your paycheck to take out the minimal amount of taxes each week.

In my opinion it is better to owe the government at the end of the year or get nothing back, than to let them steal your money all year long.

I agree. I would prefer they end withholding alltogether and make everybody pay quarterly - write a check to the government for what you owe them 4 times a year. Of course "they" know the American People would get really pissed off about all the money they're spending if that happened... then they might have another Boston Tea Party to deal with. Why do you think most business owners/managers are so fiscally conservative? They know exactly how much the government's taking. Remember every dime of SS taxes you pay, they pay double. Same for every other tax you pay.

Because good, honest, hardworking people are getting bankrupted everyday, because they are getting f^*ked around by this money grubbing business of health care. What a joke.

The system is broken.

My latest complaint is very personal in nature. I'm asthmatic. I've been on the same inhaler since 1990. It's what works. Someone in an ivory tower somewhere decided to do away with it. The margin must not have been up to snuff. My co-pay is going from $5 to $50 the next time I get my prescription filled. How the hell does that work? Why do we let these bastards stick it to us like that?
I see your side of the argument, but what about the people who take advantage of the system?

I don't expect tax payers to pay for my triple by pass surgery just because I ate greasy fattening sh*t my whole life.
Why should I get to stay in the hospital at the tax payers expense after a weekend of drinking booze, blowing coke and doing hookers?
I know there are good honest people out there that deserve a break, but there are too many sh*tty people out there as well.
No kidding then the government will have there hands in all our puppet holes, regualating what you can and can't eat.

I hate going to the DMV, I'd really hate going to the Department of Health Services, FKA your local hospital.

If we had "free" health care the hospitals would be flooded with every A-hole with a cough or sniffle.

I don't think that would be that much of a problem actually. I have health insurance but just don't like going to the doctor's unless its something serious. And I think a lot of people feel the same way. Lots of people don't like going to the doctor's and that's not gonna change if it was free.

We can't pay the debt off because we have too many unnecessary government programs like Dept. of Education.

What would you call it if someone reached into your pocket and took money away from you? Even if they used it to do "good" things, it would still be considered theft. The income tax is simply theft by the government.

Ha! Very Funny! Actually we're borrowing more money to pay for the War in Iraq and national security. That is what's driving up the national debt even more.http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ That website is amazing. refresh it after about ten seconds and our national debt goes up a hundred thousand dollars!

Then he says
What would you call it if someone reached into your pocket and took money away from you? Even if they used it to do "good" things, it would still be considered theft. The income tax is simply theft by the government.
I am against total privatization. I recognize taxes are the only reasonable means of paying for public establishments. But I don't like paying the taxes when I know some of its going to helping kill people in Iraq. Some of my tax money is going towards financing secret government organizations with various nefarious plots, I do not doubt. Schools, libraries, roads, we need all that stuff so I don't feel bad about paying for it. But there is a lot of evil sh*t my money is going towards.

Actually I think we need another thread for national debt.
