I have always heard arguments about how hard that test is. After seeing it for the first time, I don't get it. Almost everything on it is taught in one semester of a high school level government class. Granted, I could not remember the answer to every question, but it has been twelve years and I would have had a B passing grade.

It seems to me anyone wanting to obtain citizenship could study for a month or two and pass. One question I have however. Can the test be taken and/or studied in one's native language, or do they have to do it in english? I can see how the language barrier could make the test much harder.

Yes, that's all taught in one semester of Government class; remember 70% of it and you pass.

Of course, I wouldn't get on a plane that has a 70% chance of making it to its destination, or keep a job if I only did 70% of my duties. . . (Was that spoken like a real skool teecher or what?)

"or keep a job if I only did 70% of my duties "

eh...you could always be a weatherman. "Today there is a 50% chance of rain." What is that? Did you research a true/false question?

And if it gets too hard, just call a friend in Iowa and ask "Is it raining or what?" before you go on air.

So sorry, I think I may have tangented/Devitoed here.

I think I would've passed, but I have to say that it made smile a bit to see #49 Who is Martin Luther King Jr?

Very important....not something I would've thought to be on a quiz like this. I'm glad it is on there.
music, cubs, work, eat, sleep....repeat.....

Nice quiz, believe I've seen taken this before.

This could be posted along the border every
half mile or so, maybe instead of a fence.

Could effectively deter illegals

[b]Okay, think of what little patience I have as, oh, I don't know, your virginity. You always thought it would be there, until that night Junior Year when you were feeling a little down about yourself and your pal Kevin, who just wanted to be friends, well, he dropped by and he brought a copy of About Last Night and a four-pack of Bartels & James and woo hoo hoo, it was gone forever - just like my patience is now.

Umm, I'm gonna go with Constitution. The following sentence gave it away: In what year was the Constitution written?
68. Who was president during the Civil War?
Lincoln AND Jefferson Davis
Jefferson Davis wasn't President anymore than if I declared myself president of Eighty-eight land. It would be a democratic process, don't get me wrong, because I would erect a 50 ft wall on my border and shoot all you illegals trying to get in. Therefore I would win by a landslide vote of 1-0.
