I'm not going to give an in depth critique because I'm listening here on my laptop and the sound is not all that great through the pc speaker. It surely doesn't do these recordings justice.

I listened to most of "Sword of the King" and small bits of the other two tracks on the MySpace page.

I have to say that I was really impressed. This is not normally my cup of tea because usually when I hear crazy wicked metal like that, there is absolutely no real vocal talent behind it. Just the ability to scream, growl, or wail. This dude can sing. The guitars are ultra chunky and tight and the percussion was well mixed and provided a pretty solid backbone on all tracks. This speaker, however, doesn't really allow me to hear much bass. Sorry.

I would see this live. Hearing these tracks makes me want to join this band. Good stuff. I really liked it. Keep up the hard work and make sure you get those songs uploaded here too!!!

It sounds pretty decent, but the drums don't sound authentic.

I listen to a lot of metal and I really enjoying listening to the drummers, but to me, this recording just sounds like a programed drum machine.

Were the drums recorded live for this for this album?

The drums were recorded live but the snare and bass were retriggered. Unfortunately that tends to make the drums a little less dynamic and overproduced at times.
