Yes! It was a few weeks back.
Was there with a client. Nice power trio.

I was under the impression that it was
a country place though (client preference  )

So, what ?...no reed, ligature and mouthpiece chat?

Lacquers vs. bare brass?

Selmer vs. Yamaha?

New horns vs. vintage?

Freaking guitar players and drummers.

Yeah, dejavu city, !!! I guess they were trying to do a classic rock night on Thursdays, and our first night was two weeks AFTER they quit advertising with classic rock radio. I really got 'em with Willie Nelson's Nightlife later on though.
Glad you were there!

I play tuba too (I'm all about the low end 8) ) I don't currently own one because for what they cost I could buy 3 really nice bass guitars and a killer amp. If somebody wants to give me one, I'll be happy to start gigging on tuba too though.

This is me on my new kit.

It's completely rad.

someone please IM me and tell me how to post photos.

I have a Three humbucker Gibson Les Paul and according to Gibson it is a 1967 modified standard. Guess I shouldn't have thrown it on the floor so much. My backup guitar is brand new, just made the switch to a fender. It's a telecaster Deluxe with the S-1 switching which is pretty cool. My amp is a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and a 80w traynor. I have a crap load of boss pedals b/c that is basically all I will use. Takamine Acoustic, '67 Fender Mustang(given to me by my father) and a sh*tty ass samick that was my 1st guitar so I won't come off of it.

bassjones wrote:no pretty pictures for you all, but I play and recommend (hopefully one day endorse) the following bass guitar equipment:

G&L L2500 5-string
A beat up old Englehardt upright that needs a ton of work...

SWR Grand-Prix Pre-amp
QSC USA 850 Power amp - overkill around here, but it kicks ass.
Pre-Gibson Trace Elliot smx series combo amp

Boss Bass Chorus
Morley volume
Boss Bass Distortion
Boss TU-2 tuner

Monster 500 Bass cables
Gator racks

On the wish list:

Low Down Sound custom cabinets - 1-12", 1-8", 1-tweeter, NEO magnets, tweeter control on the side, finished in a spray-on hard finish - being designed right now, will order soon.

LeCompte custom basses - I will be ordering a bass from them in the next year - a fretless single-cut six-string and hopefully a fretted six shortly thereafter.

MXR auto-q

Eden WT series head to replace my current behemoth setup...
On edit...

The MXR should be here today.

The LDS cab is under construction and we are crossing our fingers hoping it's here by December 5, as NoRA is playing at Columbia Street West with Lo. Automatic and it would be very nice not to play through the Trace Elliot combo - it's one of the very good early TEs with the 12-band e.q. and tube pre, and two-band compression and all the TE goodies, but it's just not my thing and it's really not my thing with NoRA...

BTW, the TE combo will be up for sale shortly - basically as soon as I get my LDS cab.
