It looks like we may be headed for multiple DeVitos with this one.

well guys in my "6" year i have learnt one thing that matters most...i can learn the most, from the people who know the most. i learnt alot today after reading all of those post. and i can deffinatly ryhm. tell you what guys...why dont all of you come to one of my concerts and see what i have been able to do with my "6" years of experience and you can sit back with your jaw dropped. come see my new RATM cover band called "The Machine Rages on" we just installed our new lighting system with these sweet new intelligent lights and a cool spot light. we also just bought new foggers *something that most venues lack* and we upgraded our high end on the mains which now match perfectly with our low end selection. we even raised out drum stage a good 3 inches(WOW). wait, to top it off, we even started selling pre-show tickets. and there f*#king DIRT CHEAP...no, not because the bands suck, because the cheaper it is, the more people seem to want to buy a ticket. (funny how that works, isn't it)

anyway, here is the link to the fliar, its in Bluffton indiana, but its still pretty sweet.

Am I the only one that was completely lost on this post? No offense, but how old are you? I had to read that three times before I could follow your grammar or interpret wtf you were saying....and I'm still not really sure.

I was surprised that in this ENTIRE run-on paragraph there was not one mention of musicality, professionalism, or dedication to your craft. Less even was an answer to why the 'scene sucked'.

It was all about your cool toys and bitchin' light show.

Style over substance 'eh?

Rage Against The Machine cover band huh?

Good luck taking over the world with that one. Fort Wayne evidently cannot grasp your greatness (and originality).

It's probably not too different anywhere else. We live in a fragmented, and ironically at the same time closed-minded society. It's like everybody wants 'retro' to 15 minutes ago or something. Also, at bars, however you advertise yourself, you get who you get through the door.

My point wasn’t to actually argue over the scene. My point was to spike everyone’s interest with a negative title and a stupid starting entry. After everyone read it, they would all have something to say. So now everyone is completely, well not completely. But, everyone is now interested in the topic and willing to read the general list of replies. Now, i have used everyone's thoughts to enrich my own. I have a better understanding of the scene from everyone elses standpoint.

If you would like me to make a comment on the scene i will.

I don’t like it. But i don’t really have a choice but to live with it. So I’m not the one complaining, you guys are. I just gave you a reason to do it.

The musicians are amazing, i see so many drummers with talent and fluidic response to music. I see MANY guitarist and bassist who can actually play and i meet a lot of cool people. Unfortunately, something’s just don’t work even if they have the right equipment. But, you do what you can with what you are given.

(Admins, can we get a flat-line, slack-jawed, blank-stare emoticon? I feel the need for one coming on.)

Yet no one ever covers the BEST RATM song ever, "Darkness" off of The Crow Soundtrack.

Someone cover that, and I'll be doing my circus seal imitation.

Sorry man, I don't want to be a d*ck but there was some sarcasm in my post. I would rather you invite me out to watch some of your original music. Nothing personal. :D

:D don't worry, there will be plenty of original music at that show
