I'm surprised the MDA is going for this. I tried to do something like this when I was there and was told we could do it, but couldn't use the name MDA in advertising. It must be the new people who work there!

I'm not sure about your experience, but in this situation (Fleek's B-day party) it's being considered as a one-time misc. donation to MDA so it's fine.

It was probably a little different as well because we wanted to use MDA flyers and such so people would know that money was going to charity. We were trying to set it up like a Golf Tournament or something like that. That was a couple years ago and we had a different RC at the time.
MDA is a GREAT charity so I'm always happy to hear good things!

The response to this has been great. Spread the word to other bands!!! And remember, we're still accepting merch/cd/random donations from bands to add to the grand prize!
