MultiBand Shows/Gig Networking

Post by moss ryder »

Heya, i'm moss ryder from ekranoplan. Johnnie irish and i are trying to get together an extended group of like-minded artists who are interested in setting up multi-band shows. We've found that its much easier to get gigs in this town if you have a full nights entertainment lined up.

So we want to get in touch with (or get touched by) any local bands who are interested in playing some shows with a good variety of styles and genre. If you want to get in on the mix, send us your bands name, some contact info(not just fwm.com please!), and a description of what you do. If you have a website or url with some tunes, that'd be great. A little history of where youve played around town would be cool if you want, but no ness. we're not going to judge who's better or anything. Young and old are welcome! all styles! all skill levels!

Lets keep the kik-ass shows coming!

or just respond below!

So far we've played a benefit show in Decatur and Battle of the Bands at Lakeland and Churubusco.

Sounds like it'll be a good show at cupajoe's. Also like to say that another group working in our network of bands: Between the Rooms is gonna be out at the Dupont Munchies on Saturday these guys are badass and you need to go and check them out.

Hey, can I join your little network club? I HATE Ekranoplan, but I'd love to get some more gigs regardless.

HAHA. Good job at Legends.

Now listen guys I should warn you that while Between the Rooms is a great band the The lead guitarist/lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist gets a little "free with his hands when he's been drinking" so watch your um "equipment", If you know what I mean, your instruments should be fine though.

Damn you all! My "free hands" were supposed to be our little secret!

By the way, Ekranoboyz, I'm getting a show set up with us (BTR and you guys) at Munchies Dupont along with Pleasing Melani. I talked to the owner at our Saturday show, and he said he's coo' with it. Just gotta follow up and get a date.

Awesome. I am looking forward to it. I would also like to do a MOMS with either one of you guys, (PHEEN, Ekranoplan, or BTR). I would like to convince richard to let us all have a weekend a CSW sometime, I know that is usually reserved for cover bands but I will see what I can do.

BTW...

We're always down for shows, though since we have a couple underage band members, all-ages are the best for us.

A CSW show on Tuesday or a weekend would be cool with BTR, or course. If you find anything out, let us know!

I'll keep y'all posted on the Munchie's show.

i just started a new thing with 3 of the guys from pwince and mark from the lollygaggers. we're looking to start playing out probably in the next month or so. anybody looking for an edgier indie-type band to play with? (sort of like planes mistaken for stars meets sunny day real estate meets fugazi meets mr. bungle). we're definitely in for the muli-band thing (especially seeing as we don't have all that much music yet).

cool, cool. Right now we have an opening for a one hour slot at the pride fest later this month. we don't have enuff material for a 2 hour set, so we'll be splitting the 2 hours with another band. interested parties should call johnnie irish at 348-1303.

we will also be needing another band to play moms with us sometime. richard told us to find another band and we could have a moms show, so whoever is interested should also get ahold of johnnie irish.

thanks.
