Is anyone here very good with computers (virus question)..

So, I now have a Zune, and my computer can't really handle the software as it freezes after about twenty minutes of that program in use.. So, I use Windows Media Player now.

But, before doing that, I thought maybe if I reset my computer my PC wouldn't be so bogged down and the Zune program would work just fine on here. Well, the Zune program still freezes my old computer, but I encountered a new problem in resetting my computer.

While re-downloading all of what I had previous to the reset, I got a virus, and SpyBot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware 2007, and VundoFix all have failed to get rid of it.

Anyway, if anyone has any idea as to how to get rid of a virus called "VirtuMonde" that'd be awesome, because I've tried and failed. And I'd really like to not reset my computer again just to rid of the virus..

Google VirtuMonde and all kinds of stuff comes up. Some of it is free.

None of that's worked so far.

I recommend ditching Windows...it does nothing but cause problems.

Ignore Deek...heh...

Get AVG Anti-Virus...

It probably required SMITFRAUD FIX because I think it is part of the series that are near difficult to get rid of because they infect the windows indexing area...

Try AVG and if that doesn't work let me know and I will take a look for you...

i'm away at school in bloomington right now.

i emailed spybot and they suggested combofix, which, so far seems to be working... but i'll give your choice a run if this doesn't pan out either..

I am sure it will be something rather easy...I know if I could put myself in front of it there would be a quick solution...

Meaning a linux install disk??? Yeah, I'd have to agree with Chris, that probably is the quickest (and best) solution!
