Hey, everyone!

My parents own a 14 acre primitive campground on a spring fed, no-wake lake. I don't know if anyone here digs camping, but it would be a real good time to get a group of like 20 or so people, roll up the grounds, do some drinking, acoustic campfire jams, fishing, swimming, grilling and all around good time.

I haven't talked to them about it yet, but I'll bet that they would either donate lots or seriously reduce the cost if we wanted to arrange a gathering up there. It's just across the border into Michigan about 1:15 from Fort Wayne.

DUDE...I was SOOO wanting to plan a FWM camp out this summer. I camped so damn much I can't sleep without a tent anymore...lol.

My schedule got rought at the end of the summer. Since I will most likely be quitting one of my jobs that removes my ability to do anything on the weekends soon...I think we can squeeze one in maybe??

This has had 30+ views and only a few comments. Apparently only three people are interested.

I'm looking at the last weekend in September or the first weekend in October. The 'rents said they'd have no problem making some arrangements.

I would love to, but I'm guessing a bunch of musicians and a private campground is not going to equal family friendly. Weekends are all about my wife and daughter.

Next showcase is (alledgedly) Oct 1st (Saturday) so that weekend is out...the following would be good though..

I read almost every topic. Doesn't always mean I have a comment though.

And besides, I am a terrible camper. I prefer advance reservations, indoor facilities and room service.

I do a lot of camping with the Boy Scouts (as Asst. Scoutmaster), and I am usually the only musician there.

I guess if I went camping with you guys, I would be the only Boy Scout among musicians!

I'd love to go camping with the FWM crew, but I think my being a 16 year old girl might cause some parental/legal problems.

Well, bring a guardian or chaperone or however you spell it. It's illegal to transport a minor across state lines, but if it's family or someone your parents okay, then you're cool. In fact, if you really wanted to go you could have your folks call my parents (the owners) and they'll tell them what goes down.

Well we dont have to go across state line though. We found an amazing place outside of turkey run. forking beautiful. its 8 bucks a night. On sugar creek.

In fact Pleasing Melani played and acoustic show their on our last trip. We rented a cabin as well as a campsite and the cabin was on a hill that overlooked the campground and we play on the screened in porch.

Sooooooo maybe is we planned it out well we could bring a small PA and have shows every night that we are camping.
