i haven't been there in a couple years, but you could try xdrive.com i think they charge after 5GB, though.

Best thing I did was buy a small (in asthetic size) external hard drive to transport from home to school. This housed my entire library of music as well as my school projects. I still use the same drive today (5 years later)

It was annoying at first but once it became part of my daily routine it proved to be a very effecient way of ensuring that I always had my school work and music with me and available at all times.

I am pretty sure I have some pocket drives here that I could part with for cheap if you are looking for something like that.

How are you wanting to access them? Do you just need/want access to them wherever you are? Or do you just need to move them somewhere else?

I was going to suggest a usb key, but I don't think they have those in 7 gig varieties, or if they do, their a bit salty. I have a 1 gig, which is more than enough for my uses, which doesn't include music.

Yeah, usb pocket drives would be a good choice. They are small and will have more than enough space for you. I know some flash cards are that big, but then you are needing a card reader with you as well.

There are hosting sites, but I would think that for that size, you are looking at at least a few bucks a months to have the storage space. If you are technically inclined, you could host your own server at home...but then instead of money, you will need to be able to do that all yourself...

i posted this on another message board.. and a good suggestion, free of cost, was made.

i called home and got my dad to get on AIM, and then started sending the directory there. so.. thanks anyway, but for now i'm good.

So the solution was to send 7 gigs of files via AIM?

yeah, except it failed because eventually the connection died out.

so, i'm going to try and find an external HD on ebay.

You apparently can't read...

I HAVE DRIVES...

I also own a SERVER with FAST service...if you just need to MOVE 7 GB of crap from one place or another I will gladly assist...

If you wish to piss away money on eBay then more power to you...

Deek: 16GB USB drives are down to like $99 when I looked a few months ago...that is SICK...:)

would you be free? ha

i'd want a hard drive bigger than 16 gig. i bidded on one over 100 GB for less than 10 bucks when i placed my bid.

two things...

'bidded' is not a word...

eBay auctions actually do go UP in time...

I have a 40GB for $30 right now...

They look to be bringing $49.99+ shipping for BIN and sell quite a bit at that price...

If you select the 'completed listings' option in your search it will show you about what price things will end up...you will see the occasional fluke that goes for next to nothing, but it is rare...
