I was at work, at which I make deliveries so I heard about it on the radio. My boss was in the process of moving so their was a couch and a tv at our shop, when we weren't making deliveries we were gathered around the tv while people in the office kept coming out for updates.

me and 5 other guys were on our way to work, stopped about a half mile from the house and the kid driving said, "does anyone even wanna go?"

we said no naturally.

go back to the house and turn on the tv and we saw the building burning.

we all thought it was some old coverage of something and then realized that it was live.

the second plane hit.

i got on my friends moped and zipped down to my house to tell my mom.

went back and was stuck on the tv for the rest of the day, and months after that.

I was in Danbury Connecticut, about an' hour an' a half away from ground zero, bein' woken up by my girlfriend at the time.
Her mom had called 'bout half a dozen times, trying to make sure none of us were anywhere closer to New York.

I grabbed m'self a beer an' sat in front o' the TV 'til I had t'go to work.
