How much is it?

So the wife and I have this empty 5-gallon water jug that we throw our loose change into.

Every couple of years we empty it and do something fun with the cash.

This year we are headed to the Outer Banks of N.C. for a week and decided to cash it in for spending (read:GAS) money.

Here's the pic below.

As you can see it's a little over a third full and weighs just under 70 pounds.

We are cashing it in this week and are interested and excited to see what this is worth.

Anyone care to take a guess before we cash it in?

If you guess *EXACTLY to the cent you win it all, good luck.

*Keep in mind that I am a big, fat liar if you do guess correctly.

My girlfriend and I saved up a bunch of change in an octoban drum. I think we filled it about 1/3 or 1/2 full and cashed it in for $80 or so. It paid for a hotel room on a trip to Chicago. I'm sure you have a whole lot more than that. The Outer Banks are a great place to visit. You should stop by Biltmore Castle if you find it close to your travel route. It is near Asheville, NC.

I dont know what the weight of the empty container is, but if there is/was an equation for average loose change value per pound of change, the weight *might* be a help.

12 of us are renting a 6 bedroom, 4 bath, 3 floor 5 million (yes Million) dollar seaside mansion that runs about $6000 a week.

But individually its $500 a person, less than $75 bucks a day.
