I don't want to start the whole WC fiasco, but they DO franchises. They are not all corporate owned as they like you to believe..

I have never been able to figure out why they aren't here either. Hell...they have them in Lafayette of all places...

This town needs one...since Powers doesn't ever seem to hold consistent hours...

No, what I meant was a sports bar atmosphere, but better food. Let a guy get a really good steak (the crap at Applebees doesn't qualify) in a comfortable sports bar atmosphere and I think that would go over well.

I agree Fox N Hound is an overpriced waste of time and space, although the fish-n-chips aren't bad - not great either, but palatable.

Well, I'm an outsider so I guess my opinion doesn't really count, but since I'm moving to downtown fort wayne this summer I'll chime in. From what I saw of it, I think it would be nice to have more bars/restaurants and some convenience stores or drugstores. I'm from Lansing, and I've lived in the downtown area here for years. Our minor league baseball stadium is downtown, and there are bars and restaurants that sprang up around it. They're also building condos in the lot across from it. It took a long time but there was really not much worth going to in the downtown before and now there are people around. As I write I'm in a downtown wifi cafe that's open til 10-- it used to be everything closed at 6pm in this area. I'm excited to move to fort wayne and excited to see what happens in the downtown.
