I'm a little confused between what I have read and what is I saw in the trailer. Will Venom be an included character or is it just symbiote spidey? I recall a lot of rumors in months back about Topher Grace playing Venom but I did not see any of it in the trailer. Does anyone know if there is still truth to that or was it just a rumor?

Either way I'm down for it. Spider Man is my all time favorite superhero going back to the days I was wearing spidey underoos!

I heard the same thing about Topher....I thought that I was losing my mind after seeing the trailer.....I am sure Sturm, Sharkman, and Massage all know the truth....fill us in....

It's a constant debate on the geek-out boards...but you can see in quite a few clips from the trailer that Venoms webs are holding a cab up, strangling Spidey, and trapping MJ. So, he'll be in it at one point or another...but the rumor is he'll show up towards the end of the movie, then be the featured villian in SM4. Who knows. I love the fact that they haven't shown him yet.

Thanks for the insight Matthew. I didn't notice that the first time through the trailer so I need to watch it again and pay more attention. I was just more focused on how awesome sandman looked. I hope Venom shows up at the end. He is my favorite spidey nemesis ever, well, maybe next to the Lizard. Hopefully the fourth film doesn't suck as fourth films seem to do...

But I'm getting ahead of myself here.

I found this on youtube. It looks authentic. If it's a fake someone went through a lot of trouble making this rough.

Plus, it show's Topher turn into Venom!

That clip is very much real and was shown as ComiCon this year.
