Calendar posts

It would be a lot easier if the calendar were more accessible like the forum posts. With band lineups, times, locations, ect. inevitably constantly changing, it’d be easier to have the same type of editing feature that the board posts do. Is there a way to incorporate this into the calendar as well? That may be one of the reasons that many don’t use or don’t like to use the calendar, for fear of inaccurate details as things change around. Also, when you submit your event you don’t get to see instant results posted. It may be a few days before it ever posts. Just some thoughts. I’ve tried to post as many of the Catatonic Clothing shows on it as possible. ie Nov. 12th (just submitted) will need some updating as more details become available.

So, I wasn't able to use the internet for a few days, and I got back, and I find out a show I posted in the shows thread has been deleted. I understand that you've stressed your request for putting shows that are in the "Shows" section in the calender thing. I have normally been doing that, but I simply forgot this one time. It seems to me, though, that deleting posts just because they aren't on the calender thing on this site is an absurd policy. I understand you're trying to promote the calender, and I understand you have rules and regs, but I just don't get how it actually hurts this site if every single show posted on the message board doesn't make it to the calender. Yeah, I know, I don't pay the bills, but I still feel this is a service for the music community in Ft Wayne, and for those interested in this community. I can understand editing things like porn posts, and even some of the swearing or whatever, but this just seems to go too far.

Whatever dude...

What show thread was deleted? I haven't killed any of them.

Was it an active thread or just posted? They do drop off if they are not used...that is just the software...

Your shows especially I know get posted to the calendar...I am the one that clicks to approve so I know who and when they are posted...

Let me know...maybe someone else deleted it or it just dropped off because it wasn't active..

Let me know...

I should have sent you an email or pm about this, but was short on time... I was asked to delete this post by Al (kimaliz) because he couldn't get to a computer. I don't know the specifics of it.. something to do with the show posted wasn't actually booked, I'm not sure... anyway, I deleted it at Al's request.

Please, PM him for further info... I apolgize for not letting you know.

My apologies go out to Chris. I assumed he deleted it, because he has posts on this thread saying he was going to/is doing that for people not putting shows in the Calender.

The show in question is Dec 3rd at Legends. The original post had the same title as the one currently in the "Shows" section. We got on the show through the dudes in Creep (it's their show.) I asked if we could get on it some time ago, and they were cool with it. Maybe they're having trouble getting with someone at Legends? I don't know...

To give you a little more info....

I was told that Sketch Machine & Ojo Malo were playing that night. I think communication has broken down somewhere along the line.

That is about all I know....I am trying to get more information.

I just posted my new gig on the calendar, but it's not until March... I haven't even posted about it yet and won't until the week of the show.

People, it took me all of 30 seconds to put it on the calendar. Just do it. It really is easy. Date, Time, Band, Place, Contact Information, Short message about the show... Done...
