The guys put on a terrific show. THe 1947 Calif. Cupcake Company was at their entertaining best last night. And I like one of The Taco Toppers songs so much, I'm gonna have to cover it - I can't stand the Rain - it is really a great tune (you can get a copy of it on the Live at Deer Park Sessions CD), and Drew Munger sounded the best I have ever heard him sound. Me, well I felt like shite last night, so you do the math ---> but the guys sounded awesome! Thanks to the Jam Crib for hosting the event!!!!

Cathy, don't be so hard. I caught your last three songs. They were awesome.

The cupcakes can't be touched. Holy hippie girlfriends.

Munger. . .well. . .is Munger. I wish I had the skill to hang, but TacoTony lays down some good funkin' basslines.

First off.....

I used to play in a folk band... i was the guitarist and wrote all the music and the woman wrote lyrics and sang. She was a good singer ( everyone has faults, we won't go there) and thought she was horrable when she was sick... and true enuff her performance on stage lacked any form of luster; however, her vocals were always the best I have ever heard them.... I don't know if its because she got raspy or she couldnt hear herself corectly , but her vocals were incredable every time.....

ok with that said.....

Cathy wait till you get the recording..... everyone i was chating with really enjoyed your set. Thought your vocal talent was great..... so you never know what your going to get untill you hear it for your self.... and they may not be able to give you your first song on the CD....You see i was telling Tony Taco that he was gay.... well i didnt realize that the mics for the recording were only 2 inches from my big mouth....they let me know were the mics were before i got to say ...." no, really he is gay!" ....so there ya go

Garr youve got a great voice man.... we need to practice and groove a little to loosen ya up man...... really enjoyed the Taco Buss, I'm wanting to buy a monthly bus pass......You was that other guitarist with you he was amazing

Cupcakes...... what can i say.... ok here is what ill say

doo doo ddo do Honey Pie.... you are drivin me frantic...sail across the atlantic....to be with you again... oh ... honey pie

You guys are the most entertaining duo i have seen scince i saw Tenaciuos D in Indy........ I dont know how you do it boys but it fornicatin rocks ( those damn astric astrix sh*t these things *********) Rrrrrrraaamone! you need to sing more... i like the silly f**k faces you make when you sing

As for myself.... we will see how the recording turns out

I would like to thank Tony Smith for groovin some bass with me.... we are working and getting titty tighter by the day......shows are coming still... check myspace to see em

Thanks to all that came out and supported the wild diverse range of musicians.... seriously we had everything for everyone

And to Tim

What a great G-d #$%# place you have.... i wish it was closer but ohio is a b*tch to gas and go...... ill be stoppin by on sundays for your jams.... so if youve got anyone in mind let em know

the Jam Crib is a great inexpensive tool for any age musician in fortwayne and surrounding areas..... i have met and played with some incredable folks at the open jams and had a chace to learn ( steal ) a lick or two..... if you are not useing this facilitie and are in the area to do so... you really should try it.... take a tour.... it is sweet

well im done just got back from Cederpoint ...took the kids for their B day.... so this is a little late of a post but i really thank everyone .... it was a great show and this is becoming a great ride

Peace

Great show for all involved.

Really enjoyed my first experience on the Taco Bus - especially dug your original tunes. Gonna have to check you guys out again.

Cathy, you sounded great. You seemed a little out of it, and maybe you felt like crap, but you sounded great. You really put emotions into your songs, and I dig that.

Munger, damn bro, I'm still recovering from Voodoo Child. The bass makes a nice addition to your sound, and I'm not sure you've ever sounded so pretty.

As for the Cupcakes, we'll wait for the recording, but I hope to have entertained all that were in attendance - even if I only know half the words to 500 Miles.

Thanks to all that came out - to Tim and Jam Crib for hosting, to the lady who videotaped us (I'm horrible with names), to the recording gents, to Garr for billing us on this, everyone for rocking, and of course, the fans for playing along. Thanks everyone.

Cupcake - out.

Ok, Ok, Ok!!!! Everybody says I'm too hard on myself all the time, but I guess when you're not feeling well, nothing seems right to you, or sounds right to you, or feels right to you - I'm very glad it didn't come across that way to the crowd though!!!! Thanks for the support.

Thanks Taco Toppers, Cathy, The1947CCC and Munger for playing a great show. It was my first chance to see you all perform and was a lot of fun hearing your music. Thanks also to Tim Winchester for mixing the sound and his wife Lida for video taping. I hope to have the recordings mixed in about two weeks for you. And I want to dub that dance Josh does as "The Cupcake Shake" if it hasn't been already!

I'd love to have you come back again to play pretty soon. We're working on plans to have a giant tailgate barbecue party on the Jam Crib parking lot sometime in August. Sort of a belated one year anniversary celebration with performances all day long.

Thanks again one and all.

We had a ton of fun Tim, and we'll come back for the barbecue or whenever else you need people to play. You've got a pretty neat litle venue there, and our fans say that we sounded the best we've ever sounded. August is mostly free on our calendar right now, so just gimme a call or PM, and we're in.

Thanks,
