DOUBLESHOT AND THE WHISKEY SOURS UBDT BOTB 6/9/06

Post by doubleshot »

Hope to see any and all this Friday for the Wayne Calhoun, UBDT BOTB.

THE WHISKEY SOURS will be on stage to bring a new sound.

Brenn from LEFT LANE CRUISER on drums
Aaron from ROXY BLUES BAND on upright bass
Gwendra Tourney of MCB and ONG on electric fiddle

Should be fun.

This was a lot of fun. For praticing only 2 times together we managed to pull off a third place showing along with Action Jackson.

Congrats to LLC's 1st place showing and GNG's second place finish.

But alas, it wasn't about the money or the medals but about rocking in the name of music.

Action Jackson is one hell of a tight unit. If you haven't caught this band, check them out. All the players are great and the drummer is incredible. I mean, incredible.

And you best get to as mant LLC shows as possible as I predict these dudes will not be around these parts much longer. The Dirty South is calling---there's a meeting in Mississippi and it's got their name on it.

Better listen babe, better listen babe, better listen to my advice.

Hells yeah.

With last night's Whisky Sours, and Thursday nights NoRA, I saw two bands that had not performed together more than a half-dozen times.

You would NOT know it for one second.

Talent and experience do make a difference.

Well done.

Thanks Adam. Can't wait to catch NORA. Hopefully we can split some shows too.
