Need info on buying a MAC
So I'm thinking about buying a Macbook of some sort, though I don't really know where to start. I own a Dell XPS 17" fully loaded blah blah wonderful super laptop which is powerful enough to do whatever I need, but I want something smaller and more appropriate for travel. I have a PC and I love it. ...

I just wrapped up, "Surely you Must be Joking, Mr. Feynman!". It's a biography of a physicist that lived a crazy life. Fun stuff. Yesterday my girlfriend bought me 3 first editions of John Lange (Michael Crichton's pen name while in med school) books from Hyde Brothers, so I'm going to start reading...

I don't think he is. For instance, one of my favorite college players of all time, Glenn Robinson When I was in 7th grade and at a basketball camp, one of Glenn Robinson's teammates from Purdue came to talk to us. Glenn had barely been able to stay on the team (and for awhile was a Prop. 48 - too d...

Man, that's a tough one. He's definitely been solid and consistent like you said, but he's had his fair share of trouble over the years. He's been on 5 different times (Golden State, Sacremento, Philly, Detroit, and Washington), he's run into a few league and legal problems like the whole Michigan s...

I wish I hadn't had so many Stella Artois' before that. Now there's something we can agree on. In my top 3 favorite beers for sure. It is good to know we agree on something finally! Who would have known it was alcohol? It's funny, because Stella Artois is like the Miller Lite of America. It's...

While I'm not an Obama fan, I see this as a non-issue. It's guilt by association. Talk about wanting it both ways: Hillary always says she has the EXPERIENCE necessary to be president, since she was in the white house for 8 years. However, whenever anyone calls her on some of the stupid decisions h...

Barack always struck me as a pretty secular dude. I have to wonder if he didn't just choose a church because he had to choose a church because he's a politician. If he were a non-church going politician, he wouldn't even be able to run for president. Unfortunately for him, he might have picked the ...

I watched both games on Sunday and both were pretty good. Pistons are looking really good right now. Best starting 5 in basketball and now they've solidified their bench too and may just have the deepest bench in the league as well. Pistons will beat the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals and...

This is only one example, but this a Kurd telling me this. Dude lost his home and had to leave his country on our account. (But still served me a forking great kebab.) He hardly has anything bad to say about Saddam. How old was this guy? Did he have family that was gassed by Saddam or did they get ...

Do you think part of the reasoning behind NAFTA could have been to "cool down" unions in this country? Just throwing out a question. The term "unions" has been floating in my head as a reply since the economics part of this thread popped up. I don't know if I want to tread there because I don't kno...

It's not that I don't want to pay any taxes, it's that I want the government to do their job - and only their job. Their one and only job is to protect us from foreign invasion and defend the constitution. That's it. Well, that and stay the f out of the way of people who actually produce goods and ...
